This Privacy Policy describes how BK Benefits Consultants LLC (“BK Benefits Consultants,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit healthplans.pro or interact with us through it (the “Site”).
1. Who We Are
BK Benefits Consultants is a Missouri-licensed insurance entity producer, License #3004163368 · Ohio business entity agent, License #1770288 · NPN 21307422. healthplans.pro is a marketing site we operate to connect you with a licensed insurance agent. Every request submitted on the Site goes to a licensed insurance agent named on our Agent List, who works it under their own license. That agent, not the Site and not BK Benefits Consultants, handles your application, any recommendations, and setting up the policy.
The Site has no user accounts, logins, or client portal, and we do not collect usernames, passwords, or other credentials through it.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us.
When you complete the request form we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and, where the form asks, the kind of coverage you’re interested in and who needs it. The form has no free-text field, and we ask that you not send us health or medical information. If an agent needs health details later, they’ll collect them directly through channels appropriate for that information.
Information collected automatically.
When you visit the Site we collect technical information about your visit: IP address, device and browser type, referring page, campaign attribution (UTM parameters), the Google click identifier (gclid) when you arrive from a Google ad, Google Analytics 4 client and session identifiers, and timestamps. Section 6 describes the cookies involved.
What we do not collect.
We hold your contact information only because you entered it on this Site. We do not buy, rent, or receive contact information from lead generators, aggregators, or list brokers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- send your request to a licensed insurance agent on our Agent List so they can contact you about coverage;
- contact you ourselves, on the channels you consented to, about insurance and related products, including renewal and open-enrollment reminders, whether or not you become a customer;
- create and keep records of the consents you give us (Section 7);
- operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and our marketing, including measuring whether our ads lead to requests (Section 6);
- comply with legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
Licensed insurance agents.
Connecting you with an agent is the service, so every request goes to one licensed insurance agent named on our Agent List, whom we’ve verified is licensed in your state for the coverage you asked about. Your request goes to one agent, not several. That agent may contact you by phone, text, and email and may pay us a fee for your request, whether or not you buy anything. They may use your information only to offer you the insurance you asked about; they may not sell it, pass it on, or disclose it to anyone else except as needed to set up coverage you ask for; and they must keep their own do-not-call list and honor a request to stop within ten (10) business days. If that agent doesn’t reach out promptly, we may send your request to a different agent on the list instead, and the first agent may no longer contact you.
You authorize this sharing on the request form, by a checkbox that is not pre-checked. You can withdraw the authorization at any time through Your Privacy Choices, by emailing optout@healthplans.pro, or by any other reasonable means, and we check for a withdrawal before every transfer. Withdrawing stops the sharing. It does not erase what you already sent us, and BK Benefits Consultants may still contact you about insurance unless you ask us to stop, which is a separate choice (Section 5).
Insurance companies.
When you ask an agent for a quote or to submit an application, the agent provides your information to the insurance company at your direction.
Service providers.
Vendors that work on our behalf: web and database hosting, analytics and advertising measurement (Google), error monitoring (Sentry), and transactional email delivery (Resend). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
Legal and business transfers.
We may disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect our rights, to investigate fraud or misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
Sponsored content in our emails.
We may include an advertiser’s sponsored content inside marketing emails we send, and we may be paid for it. We always send the message and control what it says. The advertiser never receives our contact list or anything identifying you individually, including whether you opened or clicked; they get aggregate totals only. Sponsored content is labeled as advertising.
What we do not do.
We do not hand our contact list, or any part of it, to a third party to use directly. We do not use your information to build advertising audiences or provide it to ad platforms for that purpose (Section 6). We do not ask health questions and do not infer, score, or route your request based on any guess about your health. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
5. Your Choices
- Stop the sharing. Withdraw your transfer authorization at any time through Your Privacy Choices or by any other reasonable means. It covers information we already hold and anything you send later.
- Stop our calls, texts, and emails. Reply STOP to any text (reply HELP for help; message and data rates may apply). Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Tell us on a call, or email optout@healthplans.pro. Any reasonable means works; we honor revocations within ten (10) business days. See our Do Not Call Policy.
- Cookies. Use “Your Privacy Choices” in the footer to manage analytics and advertising cookies. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies.
- Global Privacy Control. We honor the GPC browser signal as an opt-out of advertising measurement (Section 6).
6. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: (a) to make the Site work and remember choices you’ve made (including your cookie preferences), (b) to understand how visitors find and use the Site, and (c) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to function — for example, the first-party cookie that remembers your cookie choices. Always active; cannot be turned off.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4, loaded through the Google tag. Helps us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve the content and the request-form flow. Sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Advertising measurement. Google Ads conversion measurement, using the same Google tag. This lets us measure whether our ads lead to inquiries, using identifiers such as the Google click identifier (gclid). Ads personalization is disabled for this Site: we do not build remarketing lists or personalized-advertising audiences from your visits, and no visit to this Site is used to target you with personalized ads elsewhere. That is a deliberate policy choice for a website about health coverage, not a technical limitation.
- Web fonts. The Site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. This sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, but requesting a font from Google discloses your IP address and basic browser information to Google, as any request to any third-party server does. It happens on every page and is not covered by your cookie choices, because it is how the page is drawn rather than a tracking technology.
- Cookieless analytics. If enabled, Ahrefs Web Analytics: a privacy-friendly tool that measures page views and traffic sources without setting cookies or collecting personal identifiers. Because it does not store data on your device or use cross-site tracking, it would load on every visit regardless of your cookie choices.
Error monitoring and email delivery
The Site uses Sentry, an error-monitoring service provider, to capture technical error data (such as browser and device information and the technical state of the page) when something on the Site breaks, so we can fix it. We use Resend, a transactional email delivery provider, to deliver the emails the Site sends in connection with your inquiry. Both act as service providers under the obligations described in Section 4.
How we ask for your consent
When you first visit the Site, we show every visitor the same cookie notice: a strip at the bottom of the page with a “Cookie settings” button and a “Got it” button. It does not block the page, and pressing “Got it” dismisses it without granting anything — it records that you have seen the notice and leaves your cookie state exactly as it already was. Where required by law — the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Quebec — analytics and advertising-measurement storage are denied by default and stay denied unless you turn them on yourself, so only strictly necessary cookies are active until you choose. In the United States, analytics and advertising-measurement cookies are active by default under a notice model; you can turn them off at any time. You can review or change your cookie choices at any time using “Cookie settings” on the notice, or the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of the Site, which lets you turn analytics and advertising-measurement cookies on or off (they are managed together on this Site). Strictly necessary cookies remain on either way. Your cookie choices are separate from — and neither grant nor replace — the contact consent described in our Terms of Use.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not yet made an explicit cookie choice on this Site, we treat the signal as an opt-out of advertising-measurement cookies, regardless of your location, and we tell Google to restrict its own use of any data it does receive. Analytics stays on, because GPC is an opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information and we do neither with it: we use analytics only to understand how this Site is used, we do not build advertising audiences from your visit, and Google Signals is switched off on our property. You can still turn analytics off yourself at any time through “Your Privacy Choices.” If you have made an explicit choice via the cookie notice or “Your Privacy Choices,” that choice controls, and it turns both categories off together.
Server-side conversion measurement
When you submit the request form, our server sends a conversion event to Google Analytics. That event carries a randomly generated lead identifier and the same pseudonymous Google Analytics client and session identifiers described in Section 2 — never your name, email address, or phone number.
Audit record
When you interact with the cookie notice, we record the choice itself, the time, the IP address and browser the choice came from, the version of this Privacy Policy and the cookie notice that was current at the time, and the verbatim notice copy you saw. We keep this record so we can demonstrate compliance with applicable privacy laws.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information as long as we have an ongoing business need: responding to your request, marketing to you over time, meeting legal and regulatory obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. We typically retain request-form contact information for seven (7) years from your last meaningful contact with us, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete it sooner; we’ll honor that except where we’re required to keep it.
Consent records. When you give consent on the form we record the timestamp, your IP address and browser, the page, the version of the Agent List in effect, and the exact version of the consent text you agreed to. We keep consent records for at least five (5) years.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Your Rights
We extend these to everyone who contacts us, wherever you live:
- Know and access. Ask what we hold about you, where it came from, why, and who we’ve shared it with.
- Correct. Ask us to fix something that’s wrong.
- Delete. Ask us to delete what we hold, subject to records we’re required to keep (consent records in particular). If an exception applies, we’ll tell you which.
- Withdraw your transfer authorization at any time through Your Privacy Choices.
- Opt out of contact by any reasonable means (Section 5).
- No retaliation. We won’t deny you service or treat you differently for exercising any of these.
- Appeal. If we decline a request, we’ll say why, and you can appeal by replying. We answer appeals within forty-five (45) days in writing.
To exercise any of these, use Your Privacy Choices or email team@healthplans.pro. We may need to verify your identity and will ask only for what that requires. We respond within thirty (30) business days and will tell you if we need longer. There’s no charge.
Missouri residents. We are a Missouri-licensed insurance entity producer, License #3004163368 · Ohio business entity agent, License #1770288 · NPN 21307422, and our handling of your information is governed by Missouri’s insurance privacy rules. Those rules let us disclose your information to an agent who is not affiliated with us where you have authorized it and have not withdrawn that authorization. That is what the checkbox on the request form and Your Privacy Choices are for: you tell us yes in advance, in writing, and you can take it back at any time.
11. Updates & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, where the law requires, tell you by other means.
